Swerea SICOMP och CMT har tecknat avtal
Swerea SICOMP AB and Center of Maritime Technologies E.V.(CMT) have signed a Cooperation Agreement concerning cooperation in the area of research, development and innovation in the maritime sector.
Background
Swerea SICOMP, part of the Swerea Group, is a research organisation with focus on polymer fibre composite materials. Swerea SICOMP offers education, research, development and consultancy assignments within material and process technologies, design and product development. Swerea SICOMP has a long experience in the area of advanced composite structures, not least in the maritime sector with process development and design of structural components.
CMT’s core competence consists of the preparation, planning and coordination of R&D projects in the maritime industry. CMT provides members with every support in the search for project partners and applications for subsidies, etc., as well as administrative and technical handling of privately financed, national and European research projects. CMT has an extensive network of universities, research facilities, industrial companies and industry associations to promote cooperation of players in the maritime sector. In addition, CMT is working as a research partner in various German and European projects in the field of production technologies and metallic lightweight structures.
Aim
Swerea SICOMP and CMT have signed a Cooperation Agreement to further explore new opportunities for research and development projects in the maritime sector.
