Surface Treatment

Surface treatment - such as painting, chemical or electrolytic treatment - of various materials is becoming increasingly important for process and product development.  Our projects are concentrated primarily on large-scale industrial surface treatment methods, such as thermal spraying and painting, as well as on local heat treatment and surface coating.  Developments in this area are largely environmentally driven, which is also reflected in our work.  An area in which we are traditionally strong is that of cleaning.

Swerea performs applied research and development in the field of surface treatment. We also have experimental facilities for trials and testing under industrial conditions.
