Strength Testing and Analysis
We are able to conduct strength tests very quickly, and our long experience provides a basis for determining the causes of any deviations from anticipated results. By producing our own test bars, we are able to offer short turnaround times at competitive prices, even for large test volumes.
We conduct tests on both test bar materials and components for many different companies and branches on a regular basis. Tests are usually performed according to the SS-EN standard, but other standards may be applied upon request. Swerea SWECAST is ISO 9001 certified.
We offer the following:
- Tensile testing
- Impact strength testing, from room temperature to –60°C and –196°C
- Hardness testing with Brinell, Vickers, micro Vickers or Rockwell C method. Hardness testing can be supplemented with analysis of microstructure, inclusions, etc. (see Materials and Materials Technology: Consulting Services). Via our professional network, we can also provide other types of materials testing, including chemical analysis.
