Knowledge of metallurgy and materials technology is essential to the production, purchase and use of cast goods. Swerea SWECAST has leading edge competence on most casting metals; our particular strength is an ability to establish the relationships between the process, microstructure and properties of components.
In close co-operation with the foundry branch, we carry out specific research assignments and participate in broad research programmes. As a result, Swerea SWECAST can guarantee that our consulting and educational activities are of high quality and up to date. We have a well-equipped laboratory in which the properties of materials can be determined by means of metallographic analysis and mechanical testing.
