Weldability assessments

Swerea KIMAB conducts weldability assessments, mainly on behalf of construction companies. It usually concerns remodelling projects, when documentation is lacking for existing steel beams. Welding with incorrect parameters can have disastrous consequences for a joint's integrity, but with the help of a chemical analysis, we can state the existing risks with welding in the material and provide recommendations about how welding should be conducted.
