Certification/Directives

As the only institute in Sweden, Swerea IVF certifies products according to Oeko-Tex® Standard 100. Certification can be obtained for products in all stages of the textile value chain. Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 does not only cover substances that are prohibited or have set limit values, but also other agents that have been scientifically proven to be, or are suspected to be, harmful.

The TCO-label is a series of product certifications for office equipment, where Swerea IVF carries out the ecological examination according to the TCO standard.

Swerea IVF offers pre-certification of products according to the EMC(Electro-Magnetic Compatibility) Directive. The pre-certification constitutes a guarantee that the product satisfies the safety demands of the European Machinery, EMC and Low Voltage Directives.

Swerea IVF also offers training and support in CE labelling of machines according to the EU Machinery and Low Voltage Directives. For users and buyers of machinery it is vital to be knowledgeable about the practical implementation of the Directives' demands in order to negotiate the inclusion of proper safety systems during the purchasing process.

Swerea IVF offers environmental declarations with a life-cycle perspective - a good way of satisfying customers' and authorities' demands for credible, accessible and comparable environmental information. We offer the "lighter" so called Type II Declaration as well as certified Type III Environmental Declarations.
